Where we've travelled Where we've lived

Our passion is travel. What's yours?

Our most precious commodity in life is time, not money.

Without the burden of commuting or spending 45 hours a week at a job you don’t like, how would you choose to spend your time?

Could shaving a year or two until retirement give you a few more years to spend with your family, grandchildren, or friends?

What hobbies or skills could you hone retiring 3 years earlier?

If you didn’t have to exchange your time for money earned at a job you don’t like, what other ways could you make money more meaningfully?

How would semi-retiring in your 40s be different from waiting until your 60s?  What would your health and happiness be like?

A common passion for Steve and I is traveling. So far, we’ve visited 35 countries, many of them repeat visits or multiple locations.

For 2023, we’ll be living in Mexico and have plans to travel to Costa Rica, Panama, France, Italy, Portugal, and Cypress.

As well, we each have our own unique interests that we’ll have more time to pursue. Steve’s hobbies are tennis, golf, web development, photography, and Spanish. Tracy’s hobbies are reading, yoga, meditation, writing, fitness, and cooking.  While working, all those hobbies and travel plans were squeezed into the nooks and crannies around work.

There’s a better way, and that’s to build a life of financial independence so you can build a life you love vs. slogging away and counting down the days until you retire at 65 or later.
